Parc X trio, 2010 TD Jazz Grand Prize winners at the Montreal International Jazz Festival, is thrilled to present its new project, ORBIT. Swapping their usual acoustic instruments for keyboards, synthesisers and computers, Parc X trio invites listeners to join them and blastoff into orbit. « ORBIT » is a sonic voyage based on completely new material heavily influenced by modern electronica while keeping a foot in the jazz camp by relying on group improvisation. The world premier of this groundbreaking show took place October 5th 2012 at Lion d’Or through the Montreal OFF JAZZ festival and was performed again at Le Cercle on October 26th for the Quebec Jazz Festival. ORBIT plans to record it’s first record in early 2013.
